As the twilight years
have come to me
So do the memories
Of my beloved of long ago..



We lived each day and night
as it was meant to be
Holding each other close
living our dreams
While raising our family..



The years flew by and
our children went on their own
Finally just the two of us
were left at home..



We saw the grandchildren
arrive one by one
Seems like it was no time
until they to were grown
So hard to believe how
the time had flown..



One night an Angel
knocked upon our door
And my beloved was
gone for evermore..



As the twilight years
have come to me
So do the memories
Of my beloved of long ago...
