Four Sisters
Mother Earth gave birth to four girls
Each one very beautiful in their own way
One is named Spring
She blooms the flowers each day
Every time a flower dies
Spring cries...
Her tears water the earth
Bringing life to gardens and streams
And all that lives and dreams
One is named Summer
Summer brings forth the warmth of the Sun
Where children can play outside and have fun
And as the days go by into August and September
Farmers harvest their gardens by the ton
One is named Fall
Fall is responsible for painting the trees
She is the artist of autumn
It is her breath that cools the breeze
She turns red to gold in the sun
One is named Winter
Winter brings blankets of snow
She covers the ground with her blankets
Telling the forest it is time to sleep
Cleansing the air of impurities
She must bring on the sleet
Pelting the mountainsides steep
