If I could paint a portrait of love
I'd surely need the moon, sun and stars above
The gold from a sunset to reflect the memories past
Silver from a glowing moon to crown the aging cast
I'd borrow a mockingbird's song to sing
As it weaves love a wedding ring
I'd scatter star dust across a sky of blue
If I could paint a portrait of love
That's just what I'd do
And should it beg a name
I'd have to name it You
