My favorite part of summertime
is just about everything.

The warm summer breezes and
the sweet summer rain that
makes the crops grow.
The smell of new mown grass
and the scent of roses
blooming at sunrise.

I love to hear the
Rooster grow in early dawn
His song tells me this is another
glorious day that God has
given me to live and enjoy.

A day to make a friend smile
or do something for another that
is unable to do for their self.

I love the sound of crickets and
the frogs down at the pond in the evening.
Summertime is my favorite season
because everything is green and fresh,
a time to kick off my shoes and
go barefoot.

Summertime is the best time for
picnics and county fairs,
gathering of family and friends.

Summertime is like Christmas
in July only better because
these gifts are free.
