The Net
In the past years ..
so many I have met on the net
Some touched my heart..
and those
I will never forget
In my time of
lonliness and despair
I turn on my computer
And one of my friends
was always there
The days seemed like hours
and weeks like days
Talking trivia of our
likes and dislikes
And set ways
Building close ties
as friends often do
And many of a time we
closed the world out
Just me and you
Seems we have
grown old together
And traveled far
Each with our pain
and suffering
And we talked of scars
But kept an open heart
For others voices
we would listen
And help each other
online giving comfort
Almost as a religion
But for us aged time
is not our friend
Things diminish ..
when we are nearing our end
Perhaps a little slower now...
to comprehend
But still here beside
you after all these years
Where our friendship began
